BUSA = Crazy

Hmm, on the BUSA website it looks like somebody got their wires crossed. I put the fixtures here a wee while back, and it would appear that something strange is afoot at BUSA. See, Stirling have been magically promoted to 1A, and have disappeared from our fixture list...to be replaced by Edinburgh 2, who for some reason are still in 1A. Confused? You're not alone...

edit: I must have checked it halfway through a re-jigging, as Edinburgh 2 are back in our league. A straight swap, fair enough!

well last year there were totally seperate leagues for 1st teams and then the rest from each university. Seems like all the teams are just appearing in the same ladder this year. Rather than having seperate competitions for 2nd teams. We'll just have to prove we are better than other unis 1st teams AS WELL as their 2's. 'Mon the Watt!

Hear hear Mary, however, we have nothing to prove, we are the watt. We will march on.
All we need to decide is to where we shall march.
I suggest somewhere hot with lots of bikini clad girls.
Nominations on a postcard to... well the bit below here.

I love you all

The smart money is not on naming the final destination, but on us heading to the pub on the way there...

Barbados? U lot can fuck rite off!! I was thinking somewhere a little more upmarket with class and quality, hmmm like Perth. No not Australia, Perth and Kinross. Think about it, itll only cost about £5 a head and we can play indoor hockey at bells for like a month!!!!!!

But in all seriousness, does no1 else think that a tour of Barbados wont get off the ground??? With the amount of money us students have!!! Besides when we try and fundraise, the gen public will just think "well its no more than a piss up, why should we contribute???"

Somewhere in Europe would be more logical, and cheaper. I hear New Orleans and Texas have been having nice weather recently!!!! (For those of you not in the know, there have been hurricanes there!)

Hmm, what else can i do on this post, i know - how the wed 2nds should look next year, and i mean should!!!!

.............Krebs...............
Wee Mark....Ross.....Me....Shaggy
LJ......Alex....Nick..........Ray
...........JC...Eddie............

Sam i apologise, i just remembered u. Anyway ur too good lookin 2 play hockey, u may get a disfigured face so im bein clever here!!!
Sean same with u, altho JC's goalscoring prowess puts you 2 shame and u know it.
Im also taking into account Geordie Ross's probable prison sentence. Freshers Week is upon us so expect arson, theft, GBH...

On a completely random tangent, famous people ive seen recently:

George Burley (Hearts Manager)
Ronnie Corbett
Ricky Gervais
Stephen Marchant (Co-Writer of The Office)
Jon Snow (Channel 4 Newsreader)
Kevin Whately (Inspector Morse's sidekick)
Judy Murray (tennis player Andrew Murray's mum)
Alan Thompson (Celtic player)
Ian Lavender (played Pike in Dad's Army)
Mike Gatting (ex-Cricket player)
Kelly McDonald (got banged in Trainspotting)
Some guy who was in Hollyoaks
The bald ginger guy from the Orange ads
A girl that plays hockey for Scotland (ok not "famous")
Michael Howard (a fanny and Conservative Party leader)

Thats it for tonight....Sweet Dreams all!

An interesting thot, but having said that, if we turn up at Perth in Australia, (accidentally having taken the wrong turning at Maybury, then thats ok too, as we can all get free digs of my daddykins. I am sure he would be thrillied! :D
as for your team, no bad, but who is playing in goals for the firsts?
I hope its not mary!!!

I love you all

I hope it's not me either! And will some of those players not be playing 1's this year anyway. And i might hasten to add where do i feature in the line up. The team has changed a bit since last year, and i feel i may well merit a starting place this year round.

Well Friar the tour wont get anywhere with attitudes like that. its getting booked at Christmas and if you havn't been prepared and saved enough then we shall sadly leave without you.

Also may i add that your team looked very nice but remembering how many guys have left this year most the listed team well there for be in the Wednesday 1s. But apart from that lovely team. Anyway ive just done a 15 hour shift and im pooped. of to bed.

Love you all

Well 2b fair Rhona, im gonna have 2 start thinking bout my 3rd year abroad, which is a higher priority than the tour. As much as i want to go to Barbados, i just feel we could benefit just as much by going somewhere in Europe.

Now Im not tryin 2 dampen spirits about said tour but im sure there are others who feel a Barbados tour is a bit pricey but just arent saying anything for fear of being told "well its gonna happen so ul just be left behind."
Im just the voice of the minority, dying to be heard!!!

Oh and if you read my post, it said how the team "SHOULD look" not will look!!! SHOULD!!!

Meh, no much more i feel, needs to be discussed at present. Not even the inaugural A1 Grand Prix at Brands Hatch. (Brazil won by the way!)

See you at Peffermill on Wednesday k. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Friar a tour to barbados would be a once in a lifetime oppertunity, who knows when we could be able to go somewere like that, But to be fair a hockey tour anywhere would be good heck i even had a tour here in good old edinburgh!! neways see u wednesday wen i see how much of a lazy bastard i have become and unable to run!!

I can understand what Friar is saying to be honest. However i think that we should be trying to get a tour on to barbados.
At the same time, it is kinda hard to understand how a club that cant even get strips for itself can organise a tour to barbados etc.
The people who seem to be organising the tour, though, do seem to be pretty capable so I dare say despite reservations, we shall hopefully be sunning ourselves on hot sandy beaches at half time and drinking Malibu!
Also, does anyone ken when the hockey is tomorrow (or friday) it would be a useful thing to find out! lol

I love you all

Calm down Friar i was just joking. And as for more people wanting to go to Europe the only people that put their names on Europe were you and me.

They had the choice, thats what people chose there isnt much more we can do. All i ment was that if we dont go in with a positive attitude and try and raise as much money as possible it will cost us loads.

I agree Europe would be better but what do you want me to do?!

As it happens its been brought to my attention that other people are changing their minds so we are going to do a re-vote. PLEASE think about things before you put your name down as this is your last chance. The majority win.
